Kosher Groceries in Edinburgh

BREAD

Kosher bread may be obtained from The Engine Shed, at their bakery on St Leonards Lane, their shop on Brunstfield and at Natures Gate on South Clerk St as well as at various other health food stores. (Bread only).  In addition, Kingsmill bread made by Allied Bakeries bearing the symbol of the Sephardi Kashrut Authority (SKA) is kosher, and can be obtained in most supermarkets.

Shefa Mehadrin,  49 Bury New Road, Manchester, M25, deliver meat to the Synagogue on Thursday mid-morning.  To order, phone Yankie on 0161 773 1308.

Mark's Deli

60 Sinclair Drive, Glasgow, phone number 0141 632 0998 and 0141 632 6091.  Deliveries are regularly made to the Synagogue on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.

Victor Hugo’s Melville Drive stocks: Matzah, soup cubes, soup-mix and Halva.

Sainsburys at Cameron Toll has a limited Kosher section of dry goods.  They also now have Yarden Chicken, Rakusen's 'Mister Rak's Mini Potato Latkes' and Tofutti Non-Dairy Fozen Dessert ( Vanilla and Chocolate).

Tesco-Metro on South Clerk St has cold cuts and other deli products.

Restaurants

Ann Purna    St Patricks Square has been checked by the Rabbi and is, in his opinion, acceptable to eat in. Other vegetarian restaurants have not been checked and may have serious Kashrut issues.

Costco at Straiton has some kosher products, often including Smoked Salmon, cheesecake and cold meats
