Kosher Food

The following information has been provided courtesy of the Bournemouth Hebrew Congregation.

The Congregation has one licensed kosher delicatessen, supervised by the Congregation, and that is Jacob's Larder at 224 Holdenhurst Road , Tel No:- 01202-291918, which offers a wide range of meat and dairy products. Under the same ownership is the “Falafel Restaurant” just three doors away at 218 Holdenhurst Road , Tel No:- 01202-552277 which is also licensed and supervised by the Congregation. The restaurant has recently been refurbished.

In addition, the Congregation's beautiful Banqueting Suite, "The Menorah Suite" within the Shul complex is able to offer kosher catering to a high standard. The Congregation licenses and supervises its own caterer Mrs Lise Rossano, 43 Richmond Park Avenue, Queens Park, Bournemouth BH8 9DN, Tel No:- 01202-251020, who offers excellent and varied cuisine for all tastes.

In addition the town has another delicatessen, “the Deli” which is at the Lansdowne in Holdenhurst Road , licensed by the Beth Din and Kashrut Commission of the Chief Rabbi of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth. There are two kosher hotels. The “Normandie” in Manor Road is under the supervision of the Kedassia Kashrut Commission. The “New Ambassador” is in Meyrick Road and is supervised by the Beth Din and Kashrut Commission of the Chief Rabbi.
